Career and technical education has been recognized throughout the world as one of the fastest growing trend in the learning industry. Composed of professionals, the Association for Career and Technical Education works basically to improve the job performance and satisfaction of its members. The association also works to enhance the awareness and appreciation of the public for the career and technical programs. Along with these functions, the Association for Career and Technical Education works with the legislators and the leaders of the government to assure that the local, state and federal funding for their career education programs is continually given for the benefit of those who are working in the educational field.

The University of Iowa is considered to be one of the best schools in the state and also in the surrounding area.
